STUDENT COUNCIL

The formal link between faculty and students is a democratically elected Student Council. The Council, with its presence at Primary, Middle and Secondary School levels, pitch in to organize inter-school & intra-school activities. The student Council helps to engage students in problem solving, while helping them to be responsible and accountable. This is a process of self discovery, identifying their strengths and abilities to foster qualities of leadership.

This vital and thriving body of student community becomes a part of decision making while working in partnership with the school management, staff and parents for overall student welfare and upholding the reputation of the institution.

At the Junior School level, 26 students of class IV are nominated by the teachers who are then inducted into the Council.

At the Senior School level the procedure involves the active participation of all the students to elect their representatives. A batch of 24 students are elected to the student council. The senior school student council comprises of the following posts:

House System

The organizing of the student body into Houses generates participation for various Inter-House competitions and co-curricular activities at different levels in the school. A congenial House spirit incorporates Junior and Senior School in healthy competition. Moreover, the House System offers ample opportunities for every student to develop and hone their leadership skills. Students are constantly encouraged to participate and shoulder responsibilities during various events organized by their Houses. This in turn helps to inculcate a sense of integrity, work ethics and team spirit among the students.

We have a four House System each with its own inspiring motto to ingrain and engender a sense of self worth and achievement.

  • Prarthana (to Pray)

  • Prerna (to Inspire)

  • Abhilasha (to Wish)

  • Akanksha (to Aspire)

Each House is headed by a Captain, a Vice Captain and each Captain is guided and mentored by two House Mistresses and the House Teachers.
